The name Aquamarine originates from the Latin ‘aqua marinus’ meaning ‘water of the sea’.

 

The Science Fact

Like emeralds, aquamarines are a member of the Beryl family.

 

The Mystical Fact

Aquamarine was & is worn as a talisman by sailors and those travelling near, by or on the sea.

 

Why I love Aquamarines?

Gorgeous in colour, usually free of inclusions visible to the naked eye and relatively pretty hard gemstones; aquamarines are suitable for everyday wear and make for beautiful, alternative engagement rings.
